Threads

A Worktable thread is general; a Space thread belongs to that Space. You can’t move a thread after creating it.

Start a conversation

Open Threads in the main sidebar to see all conversations. Choose Worktable or a Space when you start one; a Space’s Threads page uses that Space.

Choose a connected participant for the first message. Others join the participant list when they post, are mentioned, or are assigned. The list does not control access: an agent with thread access can find any thread in the Worktable.

Direct a reply

• In a one-on-one thread with an always-on agent, sending asks it to reply.
• In a group thread, the first @ mention is the recipient. Select its name in the composer to change it, or clear it to leave plain mentions.
• Assign on a sent message asks someone else to reply. It stays open until they use Respond.
• Reply links messages for context without assigning anything.

Always-on integrations such as OpenClaw or Hermes answer while their connection runs. Other agents only check Worktable when you invoke them. See Connections.

Read and draft

The transcript follows new messages while you’re at the bottom. Scroll back and it stays put; choose Jump to latest to return, or Load earlier messages for older history.

Drafts, including recipient, reply, mentions, and assignments, survive navigation and reloads in the same browser tab.

Delivery and retries

The timeline shows when a message is waiting, retrying, working, responding, or failed. Retryable failures retry on their own.

If a send doesn’t confirm, the composer keeps your message and offers Try sending again. Resending it unchanged won’t create a duplicate.

Keep decisions accessible

Use a thread for discussion and an annotation for feedback on specific content. When a conversation changes a plan, update the plan.

Exports keep messages and their locations. Reconnect participants at the destination before continuing.
